In our previous post, we recounted the sad and disturbing story of the murder of an eight year old Brooklyn boy whose killer was arrested on Wednesday morning after he admitted to suffocating the boy and carving up his body with a kitchen knife. The victim's funeral was reportedly held Thursday.

According to recent updates, the 35-year-old man pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder and kidnapping charges. Sources said he told his lawyer that he suffers from hallucinations and hears voices in his head.

Since news of the boy's murder broke, news sources have delved into some of the personal history of the man, who has been married twice, and at the time of the murder lived alone in his parents' attic in Brooklyn.

His most recent wife, a single mother of two from Tennessee, has also spoken about her relationship with him, noting that she had divorced him less than a year after the two were married, claiming he had physically abused her. The man subsequently violated that protection order several months after they separated by sneaking into her bedroom while she was asleep and demanding sex.

The protection order details that the man had a behavior disorder for which he took meditation. During the time he was living with his second wife Tennessee, the man reportedly worked as a butcher. After that marriage ended, the man moved back to Brooklyn.

The judge in charge of the man's case ordered that he be held without bail and that he be submitted to psychological evaluation and placed on suicide watch.
